Other Services We Provide
Emergency Dental Care
As endodontists, many of the procedures we handle are dental emergencies. Our staff is available at all times to help patients through those frightening and painful situations. Immediate treatment is almost always required to alleviate pain and ensure the teeth have the best possible chance of survival.
Whether you have a fractured tooth or damaged filling, we can handle all emergencies, minor or severe. The pain caused by dental emergencies almost always gets worse without treatment, and dental issues can seriously jeopardize physical health. If there is severe pain, it is essential to contact our office immediately at 978-453-1215.
If you have suffered from severe trauma to the mouth, allow us to treat your traumatic injury. We can handle the treatment for any fractured, cracked, displaced, or even knocked-out teeth. Each of these conditions requires specific treatment, dictated by the effect of the injury, type of tooth (baby or permanent), and the time between the injury and treatment.
Any dental trauma requires prompt medical evaluation and treatment. Treatment may include root canal therapy, splint application, medication, or other procedures. Once treated, we will monitor your tooth to ensure it is healing as expected and that we can quickly treat any infections.
We are well-versed in performing the popular procedure known as crown lengthening. This procedure improves the gingival display, which is also referred to as a gummy smile. With a gummy smile, teeth may appear to be shorter when they are actually standard size. The excess gum tissue partially covers them.
By lengthening the crown, we can expose more of the tooth for a beautiful smile. Some people request crown lengthening for cosmetic purposes, while others need it done to expose decayed or broken teeth areas. This surgery can also uncover more tooth structure before a bridge or other dental procedure.
